Soo I've wanted to talk abt my Pink Pearl's past for a while and I've finally come around to do a drawing on her!
As you all know, she once belonged to Pink Phantom Quartz, a very renowned soldier from Pink Diamond's court. Pink Pearl was given to them as a prize, and Phantom always so fit to show her off as such, always keeping her by her side and in a manipulative way telling her that she was no good if she were on her own. This led Pearl to think that she had to completely rely on Phantom or she wouldn't last, or have value whatsoever. Because she grows easily attached, Pink Pearl eventually started believing that and even when presented with the chance to escape, she wouldn't have if Black Pearl hadn't dragged her along. Because she also envied Black Pearl and Titanium Quartz's relationship, desiring the same with her owner, she felt guilty for leaving for a long while even after joining the Crystal Gems, and the Titanium Gems also.
The pain however was soothed by time and she eventually let herself get attached to Medusa Quartz instead.
