Here are a few types of Chalcedonies. You may be wondering why some are bigger and different, and I have this theory that bigger Chalcedonies are older generation, and smaller ones are new generation (sort of like peridots). Older gems have stronger limbs and bodies, while newer generation chalcedonies lack so much strength, but make up for it with powers.
